UK loyalty points value index: what every point is worth

Figures checked 6 Oct 2026 to 7 Oct 2026 · How we verify

The number of points you get per £1 tells you little on its own. A point at Game Collection Rewards is worth 0.25p; a point at The Perfume Club is worth 5p. What matters is what you get back: the points you earn per £1, times what each point is worth.

This index works that out for every UK points scheme we cover, from each scheme’s own site and terms, at its usual rate. Bonus offers, partner rates and caps are noted beside each scheme rather than counted in.

Points value FAQ

Which UK loyalty card gives the most back?

At its usual rate, The Perfume Club: 1 point per £1, with each point worth 5p, so 5p (5%) back in every £1. Debenhams Beauty Club gives the same at its highest rate (5 points per £1). Earning is capped at 4,000 points in any rolling 12 months, and up to £25 of rewards can be used in one transaction.

Which loyalty scheme gives the least back per £1?

Of the schemes we cover, Nectar Card: 1 point per £1 at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Habitat and Tu, with each point worth 0.5p, so 0.5p (0.5%) back. Other partners pay their own rates, and many bonus points come from offers loaded in the Nectar app.

Why do more points per £1 not always mean more back?

Because points are worth different amounts. Game Collection Rewards gives 10 points per £1, the most of any scheme here, but each point is worth 0.25p, so you get 2.5p (2.5%) back. The Perfume Club gives 1 point per £1, but each point is worth 5p, so 5p (5%). Compare what you get back, not the number of points.

How is the return per £1 worked out?

It is the points a scheme gives per £1 at its usual rate, multiplied by what one point is worth when you spend it with the scheme itself. At The Perfume Club, 1 point per £1 at 5p a point is 5p (5%) back. Bonus offers, partner rates and caps are left out of the figure and noted beside each scheme.

Do points events change these figures?

Yes, while they run. A double or triple points event multiplies the usual rate: at Boots, triple points is 9 points per £1, so 9p back in every £1 instead of 3p. Each scheme page lists the events running now.

Which UK loyalty schemes do not use points?

Of the schemes we cover, Matalan Me Card and Sparks Card. Matalan Me Card: members get discounts, vouchers and perks instead. Sparks Card: rewards are paid in pounds into your digital Sparks wallet, from offers you activate.

Every figure was read on the scheme’s own website or in its terms, on the date shown beside it. Each scheme page lists the pages we read.
