Boots vs Superdrug: which loyalty card gives you more?
Rules checked 6 Oct 2026 to 8 Oct 2026 · How we verify
The verdict
For points, Boots. A Boots point and a Superdrug point are both worth 1p, but Boots gives 3 points per £1 and Superdrug 1 point per £1. So £100 earns 300 points (£3) at Boots, against 100 points (£1) at Superdrug. On triple points that is 9p in every £1 against 3p.
For spending, Superdrug. Superdrug points are spent in steps of 100 points (£1), and you pay the rest by card or cash. At Boots, your points must cover the whole price of a product.
Points last longer at Boots. Boots keeps your points while you use the card at least once every 12 months. Each Superdrug point lasts 2 years from when it is earned, however often you shop.
So carry both, and compare prices first. Both cards are free, and each earns only at its own shop, online and in its app. Boots’ extra points are worth 2p in every £1, so a lower price at Superdrug can be worth more than the points.

Superdrug Health & Beautycard
1 point per £1, in store, online and in the app.
Double and triple points compared
A points event multiplies the card’s own usual rate, so the gap between the two cards grows with it. Double points is 6 points per £1 at Boots (6p in every £1) and 2 points per £1 at Superdrug (2p). Triple points is 9 points per £1 (9p) against 3 points per £1 (3p): a Superdrug triple points day pays what Boots pays every day.
We have found no calendar of events in advance from either shop, so we check both at least once a week and list what is running below. Every Boots event in our records, with its dates, is on our Boots points events page. For Superdrug’s triple points days, see the Superdrug Health & Beautycard page.

Boots vs Superdrug FAQ
Is Boots or Superdrug better for points?
Boots gives more points: 3 points per £1 against 1 point per £1, with both worth 1p a point. Superdrug is easier to spend: points go in steps of 100 points (£1), while Boots points must cover a whole product. Points last longer at Boots. Both cards are free, so carry both, and compare prices before the points.
Are Boots points worth more than Superdrug points?
No, a point is worth 1p at both. But Boots gives 3 points per £1 and Superdrug 1 point per £1, so the same spend earns 3 times as much at Boots: 3p in every £1 against 1p.
Is Boots triple points better than Superdrug triple points?
On points, yes. Triple points at Boots is 9 points per £1 (9p in every £1), and at Superdrug 3 points per £1 (3p), because each event multiplies the card’s own usual rate. So a Superdrug triple points day pays the same as Boots’ usual rate.
