Iceland Bonus Club (formerly Bonus Card): top-up bonus, offers and how it works
Offers checked 15 Oct 2026 · How we verify offers
Bonus Club is Iceland’s savings and rewards account, and it has no points. You load money onto your account, and Iceland adds a £1 bonus for every £20 you load: 5p for every £1 you top up. Your savings and the bonuses sit in one balance, which you spend on your shopping at Iceland and The Food Warehouse, in store or online. Spending on its own earns nothing.
It used to be called the Iceland Bonus Card. Iceland’s pages now say Bonus Club, and iceland.co.uk/bonus-card takes you to the Bonus Club page, but the app is still listed as the Iceland Bonus Card App and parts of Iceland’s terms still say Bonus Card. It is the same account.
On top of the £1 bonuses, Iceland runs dated bonus offers, such as the Christmas bonus for new savings each autumn, and sends some members bonuses of their own. Iceland also gives over-60s 10% off in store on Tuesdays, and Bonus Club Rewards brings partner discounts and free trials. Those are discounts, not Bonus Pounds, so we describe them but don’t list them as offers.
- What you earn

Iceland Bonus Club offers
1 offerAlways-on ways to earn Bonus Pounds
1 offerHow Bonus Club bonuses work
The standing bonus is £1 each time the money you add reaches £20, whether in one top-up or several. The count then starts again from nothing for the next £1. Bonuses and other amounts Iceland adds don’t count toward the £20. Each £1 is added automatically within 48 hours.
Iceland’s terms also allow promotional bonuses. A new member may be offered a registration bonus, which Iceland emails to members who have agreed to its marketing emails; Iceland says when it expires, usually within two weeks of being loaded. Iceland may also offer selected members an extra bonus, with its own amount and dates. Those are only in your own emails or app.
Each autumn Iceland runs a Christmas bonus. In 2026, load £100 of new savings between 16 September and 5 November and you get a £15 Christmas bonus on top of your usual £5 of £1 bonuses: £20 in all. Money already on your account before 16 September doesn’t count, nor do the £1 bonuses, and there is one £15 bonus per member. It is loaded by 22 November and must be spent by 24 December, or it is lost.
Iceland’s Christmas Saver terms disagree on how new savings may be loaded: one clause says in store, in the app or online, the next says online or in the app. Iceland’s Bonus Club and Christmas bonus pages include in store. If you want to be sure the £100 counts, top up online or in the app.
We list the Bonus Club offers that pay Bonus Pounds for money you load, each checked on Iceland’s own pages. Price discounts, prize draws and partner perks are left out.
How to collect Bonus Pounds faster
Top up before you shop
Bonus Pounds come from the money you load, not from what you spend. Load what you would spend at Iceland anyway, pay from your balance, and you get 5% of it back. Top up at the till in store with cash or a debit or credit card, or online and in the app: in the app, go to “My Card” and tap “Top Up”.
Count to £20, not per top-up
Each £1 comes when the money you have added reaches £20, in one top-up or several. Small weekly top-ups earn the same as one big one, as long as they add up. Bonuses Iceland adds don’t count toward the £20.
Save for Christmas in the Christmas Saver window
Load £100 of new savings between 16 September and 5 November 2026 and Iceland adds a £15 Christmas bonus as well as your usual £5: £20 back on £100. Plan to spend the £15 by 24 December, when it expires.
Look for your own bonuses
Iceland may offer selected members extra bonuses, and sends registration bonuses by email to members who have agreed to its marketing emails. Check your emails and the Bonus Club app.
Keep the card on your phone
In the Bonus Club app, go to “My Card” and tap “Add to Wallet” to save the card to your phone’s wallet, ready to scan at the till even without Wi-Fi. If you spend from a digital account in store, you may be asked for ID showing your name.
Mind the £1,000 limit
Your balance, savings and bonuses together, may be at most £1,000. Once you reach it, Iceland may cap the account even during a promotion, so spend some before topping up further.
How to spend your Bonus Club balance
In store, tell the cashier how much you’d like to spend and it is taken off your bill; scan the app or your card. Online, link your card to your Iceland account and choose how much of your balance to use on each order. The rest stays on your account.
The balance spends only at participating Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores and on the Iceland website. It cannot be used in franchise stores, Iceland Local or concessions such as The Range, nor with any other company. There is no cash alternative and no change: spend part of it and the rest stays on the account.
Check your balance online, in the app, at the till or with Customer Care on 0800 328 0800. Transactions and top-ups can take up to 48 hours to show. If you close your account, any balance left on it is lost, so spend it first.

The pages we read mention no joining fee. You register online or in the Bonus Club app with your name and contact details. Anyone resident in the UK aged 18 or over can join, with one account per person.
Does the Iceland Bonus Card expire?
Only if you stop using it. Your Bonus Club account expires 24 months after you last use it, and any balance of any type is lost with it, including the money you paid in. To keep the balance longer, contact Customer Care. Promotional bonuses have their own dates: the 2026 Christmas bonus must be spent by 24 December.
Can you top up the Iceland Bonus Card in store?
Yes. Ask the cashier at the till and pay by cash or debit or credit card. You can also top up online (sign in, click the Bonus Club icon at the top right and choose “Top Up”) or in the app (“My Card”, then “Top Up”). A top-up can take up to 48 hours to reach your account.

Yes. Link your card to your Iceland account and you can choose how much of your balance to use on each online order, with the rest left on the account. You can top up online too.
Does the Iceland Bonus Card work in The Food Warehouse?
Yes. Iceland’s terms say the balance can be spent in participating Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores and on the Iceland website. It cannot be used in franchise stores, Iceland Local or concessions such as The Range.
How do I check my Iceland Bonus Card balance?
Online in your Iceland account, in the Bonus Club app, at the till in store, or by calling Customer Care on 0800 328 0800. It can take up to 48 hours for transactions and top-ups to show.
What is the Iceland Christmas bonus?
In 2026, load £100 of new savings onto your Bonus Club account between 16 September and 5 November and Iceland adds a £15 Christmas bonus, on top of your usual £1 for every £20 (£5): £20 in all. Savings already on the account don’t count, and there is one £15 bonus per member. It is loaded by 22 November and must be spent by 24 December. The terms disagree on whether in-store top-ups count, so top up online or in the app to be sure.
What is the Iceland over-60s discount?
10% off in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores on Tuesdays, from 2 June 2026, with ID such as a Senior Bus Pass, driving licence, Senior Railcard or Freedom Pass. Not online, at Iceland Local or at The Range, and not on Bonus Club top-ups, carrier bags or some in-store promotions. Iceland’s terms differ in two places: one part says any customer aged 60 or over qualifies, another says customers aged 60 or over with a registered Bonus Card; and one part excludes alcohol everywhere, another only in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. It is a discount, not Bonus Pounds.
Is it the Iceland Bonus Card or Bonus Club?
Both names mean the same account. Iceland now calls it Bonus Club and iceland.co.uk/bonus-card takes you to the Bonus Club page, but the app is still listed as the Iceland Bonus Card App, and parts of the terms still say Bonus Card. If you have a physical Bonus Card, Iceland’s Bonus Club page says to link it in the app; you only need to do this once.
