Cookies other sites set when you follow our links
CardPoints earns a small commission when you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase. This has no effect on the price you pay or the points you earn — the commission is paid by the company, not by you.
CardPoints itself sets no affiliate cookies, and our pages load no affiliate scripts. When you click one of our links, you pass through an affiliate network (such as Awin or Skimlinks) on the way to the company’s site. The network and the company may then set cookies on their own sites, usually for 30 to 90 days, so the company knows you came from CardPoints. Those cookies are theirs, and their own cookie and privacy policies cover them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, only to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms. We have turned off sharing it with Google for any other purpose, and we do not use it for advertising or to identify you.
Our reports are totals, such as the number of visits from the UK in a week. Google Analytics keeps the underlying visit records for 2 months.
Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), analytics used only for this purpose does not need your consent, but you can turn it off at any time. Turning it off removes the Google Analytics cookies and stops the analytics loading in this browser.
Managing cookies
