B&Q Club is B&Q’s free membership, and it has no points: B&Q’s club page, FAQs and terms describe money-off coupons and discounts, and no points to collect. Members who opt in to marketing emails get a coupon for £5 off a spend of £30 or more when they join, then a money-off coupon by email every time they shop with the card: 10% off or more, with a minimum spend the pages we read do not state.

Members also get 10% off key cutting in store, discounts on Hertz van hire, digital receipts, and exclusive offers and previews. Because there are no points to earn, we list no B&Q offers here; this page explains what members get, how to use the card and its coupons, and B&Q’s two other schemes people ask about: Diamond Club and TradePoint.

What B&Q Club members get

Money-off coupons by email: £5 off a spend of £30 or more when you first register, then a coupon for 10% off or more (minimum spend applies) every time you shop with your card, as long as you have opted in to marketing emails.

Exclusive offers and previews, email updates on new ranges and events, digital receipts, and 10% off key cutting in B&Q stores.

Hertz van hire from participating B&Q stores: £6 off a two-hour long wheelbase van (you pay £28) and £4 off a two-hour short wheelbase van (you pay £25). Hertz charges a £5 annual membership fee, mileage is extra, and drivers must be 21 or over. Enter your B&Q Club card number in the promo code box when you book online, or give it to the operator when you book by phone.

How to get the most from B&Q Club

  1. Opt in to marketing emails

    B&Q says welcome coupons go only to new members who opt in to email marketing when they register, and its coupons after each shop go to members opted in to marketing emails. Add club@info.diy.com to your safe senders list, and check your spam, junk and promotions folders, so the coupons are not missed.

  2. Scan your card every time

    B&Q asks you to scan your card every time you shop. If you forget the plastic card, B&Q emails you a digital Club card when you register, which you can scan from the email or add to your phone’s digital wallet, and it is also in your account on diy.com and in the B&Q app.

  3. Buy items B&Q sells itself

    Coupons and member discounts do not apply to products sold and shipped by verified sellers on diy.com (marked “Sold and shipped by” the seller’s name).

How B&Q Club coupons work

B&Q’s coupon terms say a coupon works in a single transaction, on goods in store to take away on the day, on diy.com, or in the B&Q app where it has an online code. Only one coupon can be used per transaction, each works once, and it cannot be used with any other offer or discount or applied to an earlier purchase.

Coupons cannot buy gift cards, installation, delivery or charity top-ups, products from verified sellers, or anything on B&Q’s partner sites. B&Q’s FAQ lists its exclusions as some promotions, gift cards, orders made in store, delivery charges and products sold and shipped by verified sellers.

Online, a coupon works on diy.com or in the B&Q app where it includes an online code: B&Q says online codes are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown. A coupon cannot be applied retrospectively, and each coupon’s expiry date is printed on the coupon.

Why can’t I log in to B&Q Club with my diy.com account?

B&Q says your B&Q Club account is separate from your diy.com account: you register for each separately, and the email address you use for the club is not automatically accepted on diy.com.

Where do I find my B&Q Club membership number?

It is on your Club card. B&Q emails you a digital Club card when you register, and the digital card is also in your online account on diy.com and in the B&Q app.

Why is my B&Q Club coupon not working?

Check the expiry date printed on the coupon, and that it is your only coupon in the transaction. Coupons cannot be used with any other offer, on gift cards, delivery, installation or charity top-ups, or on products from verified sellers. Online codes are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown.

Do you still get a discount at B&Q on a Wednesday?

Only if you are an existing B&Q Diamond Club member. Diamond membership closed to new members on 3 September 2018. Existing members get 10% off qualifying gardening and Christmas products every Wednesday in B&Q stores, taken away on the day; not online, on Click and Collect or on in-store orders for home delivery. It is a discount, not points, and a lost Diamond card cannot be replaced, which ends the membership.

What is the TradePoint loyalty scheme?

TradePoint is B&Q’s free membership for tradespeople, joined with a proof of trade. It is a discount, not points. Spend £250 or more in a month (including VAT) for 5% off, or £1,000 or more for 10% off, for the rest of that month and the next three; spend the same again in those three months to keep it, or you move down one tier. In Scotland, since 13 July 2026, there is one tier: 10% off for 12 months after spending £1,000 within three consecutive months.

Can I use my TradePoint discount online?

Yes. TradePoint says the discount is applied automatically online when you buy with your TradePoint online account, and it works in B&Q and TradePoint stores. It excludes delivery, gift cards, concessions, clearance (unless stated), selected smart home products, and supplier-quoted and selected made-to-measure products, and cannot be used with any other voucher or discount card.
