Island Insiders Club (formerly Sandals Select Rewards): points at Sandals and Beaches

Offers checked 9 Oct 2026 · How we verify offers

The Island Insiders Club is the loyalty scheme of Sandals and Beaches resorts in the Caribbean. It was called Sandals Select Rewards until Sandals renamed it, and the same club covers both brands.

You collect points on the resort part of each stay, at 1 point per US$1 to start and up to 4 per US$1 at the top tiers, and spend them as a discount on a later booking. Sandals values 10,000 points at US$250, so a point is worth 2.5 US cents. Flights and add-ons earn no points.

Sandals states every rate and value in US dollars, and its UK site gives them in US dollars too. The pages we read do not say how a booking priced in pounds is converted, so we give the figures as Sandals does.

How the Island Insiders tiers work

The club has seven tiers. Shell (your first stay) and Coral earn 1 point per US$1, Sapphire and Emerald 2, Diamond 3, and Pearl and Ambassador 4. The higher your tier, the faster the same holiday fills your account.

Higher tiers also bring perks that are not points: an on-resort discount on gift shops, watersports, photos and candlelight dinners (10% at Coral and Sapphire, 15% at Emerald and Diamond, 20% at Pearl and Ambassador), a free photo, a gift when you move up, and invitations to insider events. We list only the points.

Every member, at any tier, earns a Free Week Award after 70 paid nights at Sandals or Beaches resorts. Complimentary, unpaid nights do not count towards it.

How to collect Island Insiders Club points faster

  1. Add your member number to every booking

Sandals makes members responsible for adding their member ID to each reservation and for checking the points arrive. If they don’t within 120 days of travel, send your reservation voucher, resort invoice and payment receipt with your membership number to loyalty@sandals.co.uk.

  2. Refer a friend

A friend you invite to join gets 10,000 points (US$250) towards their first stay, and once they have travelled you get 10,000 points too. You can earn up to 50,000 points a year this way.

  3. Know which part of the booking earns

Points are paid on the resort part of the booking only; flights and add-ons earn nothing. A resort part of US$5,000 earns 5,000 points (US$125, a 2.5% return) at Shell, and 20,000 points (US$500, 10%) at Pearl or Ambassador.

  4. Keep a future stay booked

Points expire 3 years after your last date of travel, but not while a future booking is linked to your account. Booking your next stay before the 3 years are up keeps the whole balance.

How to spend Island Insiders Club points

You spend points as a discount on a booking at a participating Sandals or Beaches resort, for up to 100% of the room cost, less a deposit. Sandals values 10,000 points at US$250.

The Free Week Award, after 70 paid nights, is a separate reward, not a points spend. Incentive groups cannot redeem points against their group reservation.
