LEGO Insiders (formerly LEGO VIP): points, value and double points

Offers checked 29 Oct 2026 · How we verify offers

LEGO Insiders, formerly LEGO VIP, is LEGO’s free loyalty programme for adults aged 18 and over. Members earn 8 points per £1 at LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores and on LEGO Catalogue phone orders.

800 points take £5 off at checkout, so a point is worth 0.625p and every £1 you spend gives 5p back. Points can also go on rewards from LEGO’s Rewards Centre, such as exclusive sets, tickets to events and members-only draws.

LEGO sometimes runs “2x Points” offers on chosen sets for a limited time, and you can earn 20 extra points for each set you register by scanning the QR code in its building instructions.

LEGO double points offers

LEGO runs “LEGO Insiders 2x Points” offers on named sets from a single theme, for a limited time. Each set in the offer earns 16 points per £1 instead of 8, which is 10p back in every £1 at 800 points for £5.

LEGO’s promotions terms listed six of them between 1 August and 7 October 2026, each lasting 7 to 11 days. LEGO says it announces double points in its Insiders newsletter and on LEGO.com; when one is running it is listed at the top of this page.

Under LEGO’s terms, a 2x Points offer applies only to the sets it names, while stocks last, online at LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores and on LEGO Catalogue phone orders. It cannot be combined with any other LEGO Insiders offer, discount or voucher, and it is not valid at LEGOLAND parks, LEGOLAND Discovery Centres or LEGO Certified Stores.

How to collect LEGO Insiders points faster

  1. Sign in before you buy online

LEGO’s terms say you must sign in to your LEGO account before buying on LEGO.com to earn points; in a LEGO Store, show your digital Insiders card. Store points are added straight away. Online and phone orders earn once the order ships and payment is taken: the terms say up to 24 hours after that, and LEGO’s help pages say 24 to 48 hours.

  2. Time big buys to a 2x Points offer

A £100 set earns 800 points (£5 off later) normally, and 1,600 points (£10 off) in a 2x Points offer on its theme. The offers name exact sets and cannot be combined with another Insiders offer, discount or voucher.

  3. Register every set

Scan the QR code in a set’s building instructions (or its quick start guide, for sets with digital instructions) for 20 points. Sets received as gifts and sets you already own count, and so does each copy of a set you own more than once. Only sets with a QR code earn, each set only once, and you can scan up to 500 codes in a rolling 12 months.

  4. Pay with LEGO gift cards, don’t buy them

Buying a LEGO gift card earns no points, but paying for an order with one does.

  5. Know what does not earn

Delivery charges earn nothing, and when you use points for a discount you earn on the amount you actually pay. LEGO Certified Stores (marked with a yellow flag in LEGO’s list of stores) give no points, and nor does buying LEGO from other shops.

How to spend LEGO Insiders points

The simplest way to spend points is a discount at checkout, online or in a LEGO Store: in My Bag, choose how many points to use. The “Use Points” option appears only once you have enough, and in the UK 800 points take £5 off. In a LEGO Store, show your digital Insiders card.

Points also buy rewards from the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre: exclusive sets and items, digital downloads, tickets to events and experiences, and members-only draws. You can add up to three rewards to an order but use only one reward code per order, and reward codes last 60 days. Downloads and draws are taken from your balance straight away.

Points cannot be spent in the same order that earns them, and only in your country of residence. You cannot share them or transfer them to someone else, and rewards have no cash value.
