Virgin Points: Flying Club, Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic Holidays
Offers checked 9 Oct 2026 · How we verify offers
Virgin Points are the points of Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club and of Virgin Red, the Virgin Group’s rewards club. The two share one balance: new Flying Club members in the UK aged 18 or over join Virgin Red at the same time, and points earned in either can be spent in either.
The biggest earner for most people is a Virgin Atlantic Holidays package, which pays 2 to 4 Virgin Points per £1 on the whole holiday, depending on your Flying Club tier. Virgin Holidays is now Virgin Atlantic Holidays: virginholidays.co.uk takes you to its pages on virginatlantic.com.
You spend points on Virgin Atlantic flights, upgrades and holidays, and on Virgin Red rewards. With Points Plus Money, 3,000 points take £16.50 off a Virgin Atlantic flight or holiday, so a point is worth 0.55p spent that way. Virgin Points never expire.

How to collect Virgin Points faster
Book holidays as a package with Virgin Atlantic Holidays
A package that includes a flight from the UK and accommodation booked through Virgin Atlantic Holidays earns 2 Virgin Points per £1 on its total value at Flying Club Red, 3 at Silver and 4 at Gold, plus the points for the Virgin Atlantic flights in it. A £3,000 package earns 6,000 points (£33 with Points Plus Money, a 1.1% return) at Red, and 12,000 (£66, 2.2%) at Gold. Fly-drive bookings (flight and car hire only) do not earn the package rate.
Add your Flying Club number, even after booking
If you booked without it, the lead passenger can add their Flying Club number in Manage My Booking. Missing points from a flight can be claimed for up to six months after the flight date.
Turn Tesco Clubcard points into Virgin Points
Each Clubcard point becomes 2 Virgin Points. You can exchange from 150 Clubcard points (£1.50 in vouchers) in steps of 50, or set up an automatic exchange with every quarterly statement from 250 points. Exchanged points cannot be moved back to Clubcard.
Fly in five different years
High Five pays 12,000 Virgin Points once you have flown with Virgin Atlantic in five different calendar years since 2021, which need not be in a row. Only flights operated and marketed by Virgin Atlantic count, and Red members also get 10% bonus points on later flights. Every further five flying years earns it again.
Pool points with your household
Flying Club lets you pool Virgin Points with family and friends, so a shared balance reaches a reward sooner.
How to spend Virgin Points
With Points Plus Money you use points to pay less for a Virgin Atlantic flight or Virgin Atlantic Holidays booking (UK only): at least 3,000 points per person, then in multiples of 3,000 for each £16.50 off. If you have already booked a holiday, you can do this in Manage My Booking under Payment.
Every seat on a Virgin Atlantic flight, on any date, can be booked with points, and you can upgrade to Premium or Upper Class with points even on a flight paid for with money. Virgin Atlantic says 12,000 points is enough for a return Saver Reward Seat from London to New York in Economy.
Points also buy Virgin Red rewards and can be spent with other Virgin companies, including Virgin Voyages, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Active. Virgin Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Are there any Virgin Points offers right now?
Yes, there are currently 2 live Virgin Points offers on this page, each checked on the brand's own site.
What are Virgin Points?
They are the points of Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red. Both programmes share one balance, so you can earn points with one and spend them with the other.
How much are Virgin Points worth?
Spent with Points Plus Money, 3,000 points take £16.50 off a Virgin Atlantic flight or holiday, which makes a point worth 0.55p. Reward seats and upgrades can give a different value; the pages we read set no fixed value for them.
How many Virgin Points do you get on a Virgin Atlantic holiday?
On a Virgin Atlantic Holidays package you earn 2 Virgin Points per £1 at Flying Club Red, 3 at Silver and 4 at Gold, on the total value of the holiday, plus points for the Virgin Atlantic flights in it. The package must include a flight from the UK and accommodation; fly-drive bookings do not earn the package rate.
Can you use Virgin Points to pay for a Virgin Atlantic holiday?
Yes, with Points Plus Money: at least 3,000 points per person, then multiples of 3,000, each taking £16.50 off. It works on Virgin Atlantic flights and Virgin Atlantic Holidays (UK only), including holidays already booked, through Manage My Booking.
What is the difference between Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club?
Flying Club is Virgin Atlantic’s frequent flyer programme, with tiers (Red, Silver, Gold) and Tier Points. Virgin Red is the Virgin Group’s rewards club for everyday spending and Virgin rewards. Both pay and spend the same Virgin Points from one balance, and new Flying Club members in the UK aged 18 or over are joined to Virgin Red automatically.
Can I turn Tesco Clubcard points into Virgin Points?
Yes. Each Clubcard point becomes 2 Virgin Points, from 150 Clubcard points by hand or 250 with the automatic quarterly exchange. You must be a member of Clubcard and of Virgin Red or Flying Club, and the points cannot be moved back.
Do Virgin Points expire?
No. Virgin Points have no expiry date: Virgin Red’s terms say they never expire, even if you stop using the account, as long as you have one and Virgin runs the programme.
What is the Virgin Atlantic High Five reward?
It is 12,000 Virgin Points for flying with Virgin Atlantic in five different calendar years since 2021, which need not be in a row. One flight a year counts, it must be operated and marketed by Virgin Atlantic, and the points are added automatically. Red members also get 10% bonus points on later flights.
